WHAT SO NOT

“United by a love of surfing and the sweaty corridors and dancefloors of nightclubs, they set out to create a project inspired by the most universal of feelings: fun.”

-THE BASS COLLECTIVE

“They’ve grown a cult following into so much more by keeping a strong web presence and building bangers so big, they’ll put cities underwater.”

-EARMILK

“What So Not draws in influences from house, hip hop, and garage to deliver a unique dance floor environment.”

-ELEKTRO

“United by a love of surfing and the sweaty corridors and dancefloors of nightclubs, the pairing have quickly forged a fearsome reputation for stepping up to the decks to deliver an aspect all too often lacking in the sometimes too serious world of electronic music, the most universal of feelings: fun.”

-DATA TRANSMISSION

“Their sound, a combination of Emerson’s love of hip-hop and bass music and Steten’s firm grasp on experimental pop production, easily adapts to the ever-changing dance music environment while maintaining its own unique stamp.”

-NEST HQ

“With a multitude of “trapstyle” and experimentally-driven 808-filled tacks released on their SoundCloud, they are continuously pushing the boundaries of modern electronic sound, and it has created a powerful niche for them in the current trap.”

- THE DANKLES
